Shaped Matrices - presentation
If you are used to working with retainers (tensors), for premolar and molar Class II restorations, it is best to use AnGer shaped polyester matrices. These matrices provide appropriate firm hold of tooth without causing unnecessary deformations.
Matrices are offered in 4 sizes to give better choice!Pick appropriate size of matrice and fasten it on retainer (tensor). Place shaped polyester matrix round tooth. Then slide matrice on - brim with two curves towards gum.
If interdental gap is too tight and there is problem with placing matrix over tooth, AnGer interdental wedges are best solution. Insert wedges in between teeth to gently widen gap and make it possible to move matrix round tooth and fit it perfectly to tooth shape.
Remove wedge and slide matrix down tooth to place it in appropriate position. Next insert wedges once again - two wedges give better result - this time to press matrix to tooth.
Matrix inserted correctly, secured with two transparent wedges makes work easy and assures high quality and precision of reconstruction done. During polymerisation, wedges allow simultaneous illumination of whole of filling surface.
REMINDER
Polyester self - locking matrices:
- provide smooth surface of filling
- are good polymerised light conductors
- are easy to use
- in wide range of shapes and sizes
- assure appropriate shape and contact points
